Encourage A Sister TODAY

Real sisters build one another UP - never tearing down.  Encourage a sister TODAY!

Be a blessing and not a curse.  We need one another!

Ephesians 4:29 - "Let no corrupt communication proceed out of your mouth, but that which is good to the use of edifying, that it may minister grace unto the hearers."

JUST A THOUGHT (Self reflection for all of us)

What if God chose to do what YOU do??? What if He publicly humiliated you and broadcast your every fault:  every time you took a sip, every time you smoked, every time you popped a pill, every time you fornicated, every time you committed adultery, each time you lied, gossiped, stole, conspired to hurt others, made fun of others, didn't tithe, didn't give an offering, refused to help someone in need, sent a message through your inbox that you knew you had no business sending, etc., etc., etc.?

How would you feel?  Would you want to serve a God like that?  If not, then why would you ever think someone would want to listen to you?

What if God wasn't merciful but instead puffed up like many of us, unforgiving, selfish, conniving, envious, murderous, a naysayer, a backbiter, an opportunist, etc., etc., etc.?

Would you still serve Him?

We must all be very careful of what we say to others and/or post on social media.  You never know who is watching and how your words can either positively or negatively affect others.  This world that we live in is dying and there are those who are desperately searching for answers.  They aren't perfect individuals JUST LIKE EVERYONE ELSE, they simply have their own personal hang-ups JUST LIKE EVERYONE ELSE.

None of us on this earth have God all figured out.  NONE OF US.  Nor are any of us "100" (as many like to say).  As humans and Christians alike, we should be continual students of God's Word, "studying to show ourselves approved" by figuring out our own shortcomings and finding out how we can improve ourselves in order to win more souls to Christ. Because after all, THAT'S the sole purpose of salvation.  Salvation is something we strive to perfect and share with others - not something we covet and become boastful, high-minded and braggadocios about.

I've learned over the years through many mistakes I've made and continue to make that sometimes our intentions may be good but our delivery method may be all wrong.  I've also learned that if you get the case of the big heads, God certainly has a way of showing you what's REALLY inside of you.  Remember:  "There is a way which seemeth right to man, but the end thereof are the ways of death" and sin is ALWAYS "crouching at the door."  So we must be careful.

There is no way to aid in giving life to something that we prematurely kill.  So we need to make sure that we've sought God's face FIRST before we speak or go off on a social media rant.  Make sure the words we speak line up with God's Word.  There's a huge difference between ministering "to" and preaching "at."  The Word is the Word and it speaks for itself.  You be the example and then let God do the rest.  Enough of the browbeating!
